Love the beauty and history of this place
Interesting park and easy to get to, although some of the signs have not been replaced or fixed after hooligans shot them full of bullet holes, making some hard to read in places.
Great place to be outdoors n learn some history
We traveled up the mountain road from the Coalton area and came out in Beverly. There are a few signs indicating historic Civil War events that took place here. It's mostly a drive and pull over type experience with few marked trails. Park and explore the Hart house location, especially the barn foundation across the road. The large boulders bear tributes to fallen soldiers carved in by their comrades that are still visible. Nice day trip if you're in the area.
